Hayes Road Bridge Shore Launch

The Hayes Road Bridge Shore Launch is an informal shore launch just upstream of the E. CC St. bridge on the North Fork Lewis River in Woodland, WA. The site exists within the right of way of Hayes Road. The large gravel parking area can can accomodate at least 12 vehicles. The slope to the water's edge can be steep and eroded at low water levels. In general the launch varies significantly depending on how high water levels are in the North Fork Lewis River. There are no restroom facilities, no required fees, no posted hours, and no signage identifying the site as an access site. 

Martin WDFW Boat Ramp

A small one-lane boat ramp on the Lewis River with adundant parking in a large gravel lot. The one-lane ramp provides easy access to the Lewis River at River Mile 3. Use requires a Washington State Discover Pass ($10.00 daily or $30.00 annual). Passes are not available at the site. 

Division Street/Ridgefield Shore Launch

Located just downstream of the Port of Ridgfield Boat Ramp, the Division Street/Ridgefield Shore Launch provides an alternative access to Lake River away from motorized boats. The site usually has a port-a-potty restroom set up. Users are asked to pay the daily launch fee which include parking. Tickets are available from the Boat Ramp.

The Port of Ridgefield is redeveloping the Lake River waterfront. Changes to this access site will likely occur at some point.

CD Hale Road Shore Launch

CD Hale Road Shore Launch exists where the public right of way for CD Hale Road dead ends at the Lewis River. The site is just downstream of where the East Fork Lewis River flows into the Lewis River. The site can be a bit confusing to access. Signage on Hale Road includes a sign that notes no motorized boat launching and another sign that says Pedestrian Access Only. These signs do not apply to non-motorized boaters. The paved road ends at a private gate (NW Norstar Rand Rd). Access to the site is to the left, down a long, well maintained, single land road.

Austin Point Boat Launch

Austin Point is an undeveloped, publicly accessible beach area located on the Washington bank of the lower Columbia. The site is owned by the Port of Woodland who allows the public to access the beach area for free. Though there is not a formal boat ramp, the site is regularly used to launch motorized boats from the beach, particularly during fishing season. The ability to drive on the beach makes it a short walk from your car to the water. The site has excellent views of St. Helens, which is located right across the river.

Felida Moorage Boat Ramp / NW 122nd Street

Felida is a private moorage on Lake River near the head of the river (the confluence of Vancouver Lake and Lake River). The moorage has a small, paved boat ramp available for public use for a small parking and launch fee. The moorage includes a houseboat community just downstream of the boat ramp. The parking is gravel and a bit rough - but there are generall plenty of spaces (about 30 are available). The site can be hard to find for first timers - so have the right address and mapping application. 

Vancouver Lake Park Shore Launch

Vancouver Lake Park is a 190-acre regional park that stretches for 2.5 miles along the west shore of Vancouver Lake. The park has 35 developed acres and a wide range of visitor faciilities and provides habitat for a variety of wildlife and migratory waterfowl. The Lake itself has a surface area of approximately 2,300 acres that varies with seasonal water levels. Vancouver Lake is shallow, with a lake depth that is typically betwen three to 15 feet. Paddling on the open water can vary considerably depending on wind and other weather factors.
