The Salmon Survival Game Kit explores the amazing journey Salmon take as they develop and the way human actions affect their success. Students use visuals to review the stages of Salmon growth and explore the factors that determine salmon success along the river and the ocean. The lesson culminates by playing the Salmon Survival Board Game developed by the Estuary Partnership. Students become schools of salmon heading down river trying to avoid losing fish along the way and gaining benefit from the natural habitat features they find. The Native and Invasive Plant Kit (Spanish language version) has all the supplies needed to conduct the Native and Invasive Plant Lesson with written content in spanish. The kit conatins premade packets with laminated clues and pictures illustrating a wide variety of local native and invasive species. Students use the information to decide if these plants are ones we should be planting or pulling. Students also learn why native plants are so cirtical for the survival of native species of animals. In this kit all the clues, worksheets, posters, etc are written in Spanish. NGSS Connections: 4

The Mystery Box is mix of scavenger hunt and geocaching. Groups of students find biden boxes along a trail and complete the nature exploration activities inside. Category: Plants This simple plant press is a fun way for students to preserve plant specimens. The press consists of two 12 x 18" plywood frames that ensure uniform pressure.
