Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership

This summary report describes the Columbia River Estuary Ecosystem Classification, which was created through a collaborative effort between the University of Washington's Wetland Ecosystem Team, the USGS Water Sciences Center, and the Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership.  While useful for science professionals, this document is primarily intended to provide non-technical professionals and other audiences with an introduction to the Classification and how it can be used.

The Lower Columbia River Estuary Partnership (Estuary Partnership) contracted GSI Water Solutions, Inc. (GSI) to compile an Access Database of the readily available electronic data from local agencies for selected toxics in lower Columbia River water, sediment, and biota. GSI worked in close association with Estuary Partnership staff and the Lower Columbia Monitoring Subgroup, which consists of staff from the various agencies.
