Vancouver Lake Park is a 190-acre regional park that stretches for 2.5 miles along the west shore of Vancouver Lake. The park has 35 developed acres and a wide range of visitor faciilities and provides habitat for a variety of wildlife and migratory waterfowl. The Lake itself has a surface area of approximately 2,300 acres that varies with seasonal water levels. Vancouver Lake is shallow, with a lake depth that is typically betwen three to 15 feet. Austin Point is an undeveloped, publicly accessible beach area located on the Washington bank of the lower Columbia. The site is owned by the Port of Woodland who allows the public to access the beach area for free. Though there is not a formal boat ramp, the site is regularly used to launch motorized boats from the beach, particularly during fishing season. The ability to drive on the beach makes it a short walk from your car to the water. The site has excellent views of St. Helens, which is located right across the river. Stevens Moorage is a small RV park located at the confluence of the Lewis River and the Columbia River. The site has a a small, one lane boat ramp and bait shop and is primarily used by fisherman. From their website : "Stevens Moorage is dedicated to bringing you the best in RV parking for the fisherman in you. Park your RV or truck and trailer at the best point to put your boat in the river. Located right at the mouth of the Lewis River in Woodland, Washington. Stevens Moorage will get you out on the water in your spot easier then ever before." CD Hale Road Shore Launch exists where the public right of way for CD Hale Road dead ends at the Lewis River. The site is just downstream of where the East Fork Lewis River flows into the Lewis River. The site can be a bit confusing to access. Signage on Hale Road includes a sign that notes no motorized boat launching and another sign that says Pedestrian Access Only. These signs do not apply to non-motorized boaters. The paved road ends at a private gate (NW Norstar Rand Rd). Access to the site is to the left, down a long, well maintained, single land road. Signs warn that there is "No Turn

Located just downstream of the Port of Ridgfield Boat Ramp, the Division Street/Ridgefield Shore Launch provides an alternative access to Lake River away from motorized boats. The site usually has a port-a-potty restroom set up. Users are asked to pay the daily launch fee. Tickets are available from the Boat Ramp. The Port of Ridgefield is redeveloping the Lake River waterfront. Changes to this access site will likely occur at some point.
