Site of original Sams-Walker homestead. Developed to offer picnic area, short hiking trails, and access to the Columbia River. Like the St. Cloud site, the Sams-Walker Day Use site was not developed as a non-motorized boat access point. As such, if carrying a boat, it is a bit of a long walk from the parking area to the river, and the access to the river can be a bit difficult to negotiate.

The easiest public launch on the island, Puget Island Access boasts a large gravel parking lot with a short walk to nice sandy beach. Puget Island can be reached by car either by the bridge to Cathlamet or the toll ferry to Westport (which leaves Westport every hour at a quarter after, and leaves the Island every hour on the hour).

At the downstream end of St. Helens, a small, privately owned two-lane boat ramp offers access to the Columbia River. The site allows for quick loading and unloading, with longer-term parking available across the street. Like many ramps, it tends to be busy during fishing season. Boaters should use caution when entering or exiting, as the access route leads through a narrow, congested channel shared with motorized boat traffic. Vehicles and trailers can be parked in the large lot across the street from the ramp. Adjacent to the ramp is the City of St. Helens–owned Grey Cliffs Waterfront Park

A spacious transient dock is available along the St. Helens waterfront, with a $15 fee for 24-hour use and registration required upon arrival. The dock is adjacent to Columbia View Park—a charming, well-maintained city park featuring grassy areas and picnic tables. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, a farmers' market takes place in the park’s parking lot every Thursday afternoon. Just a short walk away, visitors can explore downtown St. Helens with its variety of shops, restaurants, and lodging options.

This small City of Washougal–owned site offers off-street parking and a long fishing dock, and it serves as the western trailhead for a hike-and-bike trail that runs along the dike. The main feature of the park is a long floating dock, suitable for launching "carry-in" boats only. Motorized boats are not allowed, as the Washougal River is designated for non-motorized use. Swimming is permitted but at your own risk—no lifeguards are on duty at any swimming areas along the Washougal or Columbia Rivers within the city.

The Skamokawa Resort is the heart of Skamokawa. The resort includes a general store and vaction rentals. The Resort caters to non-motorized boaters and has a great low to the water dock for launching (free for Resort guests) and $5.00 for the general public. Lodging at the Resort includes eight hotel rooms and three luxury suites. The historic Redmen Interpretive Center just up the hill from the Skamokawa Resort. The Redmen Interpretive Center displays, exhibtis, and interprets a great deal of the area's history. Two restuarant/bars amd a post office are within easy walking distance.

As a launch site, the site presents particular challenges, specifically a long walk to the shore, and an undeveloped shore line without a specific launch point. Having said that - the site provides an access point to a unique area of the river in an area without many other access points.

Donated to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife by the Kalama Sportsman's Club. The site is now a WDFW Recreational Area Access Site. It is only semi-developed, essentially consisting of a parking lot and a packed-dirt boat launch. Note: A Vehicle Access Pass allows individuals to park at WDFW wildlife areas and water access areas only.

This site functions as a trail head to the Warrenton Waterfront Trail as well as a non-motorized boat access point to the Skipanon River. There is a small parking area, a narrow ramp to the top of the dike and a walkway down to a floating dock. Sign describes Warrenton Waterfront Trail and the sites to see along the trail, including multiple bird species.

Washougal Waterfront Park features a dedicated non-motorized boat launch, offering convenient access to the Lower Columbia River Water Trail. A concrete ramp leads to a gravel beach, making it an ideal launch spot for kayaks and canoes. This site is especially well-suited for paddlers, as it avoids congestion with motorized boats at the nearby Port of Camas-Washougal marina, and there's no need to navigate through the marina to reach the river.A 12-foot-wide paved trail loops around the park, stretching just under a mile.
