Site of original Sams-Walker homestead. Developed to offer picnic area, short hiking trails, and access to the Columbia River. Like the St. Cloud site, the Sams-Walker Day Use site was not developed as a non-motorized boat access point. As such, if carrying a boat, it is a bit of a long walk from the parking area to the river, and the access to the river can be a bit difficult to negotiate.
