Mayger ODFW Day Access Beach

Day Use sandy beach launch at the end of Mayger Fill Road. Environmental Notes: Shallow beach launch. While the tidal change is generally less than 4 ft, the shallowness means large exposure of mudflats that can make launching and landing at low tide during summer months difficult. Safety Notes: There are exposed pilings and remnants of a fish station area. Be aware of their proximity with winds and higher water.

Eureka Bar & Quill Island

Primitive low impact camping along west upland opend field. No facilities or water. Primitive Leave No Trace Camping on west upland area, and north tip to tree line. Avoid southern portion of the island as current human impact is extensive and in need of clean-up. Moderate tidal influence (6ft or less). Environmental Notes: Follow Leave No Trace Guidelines. Fire not recommended, especially above the tide line. Please avoid south end of the island, as it is currently being impacted by heavy human use, including refuse and inappropriate disposal of human waste. Safety Notes: Close proximity to

Wallace Island West

No facilities or water. Primitive Leave No Trace Camping on small field protected by sand dunes from dredge spoils. Only camping avaible on Wallace Island. Moderate Tidal Influence (6ft or less). Environmental Notes: Follow Leave No Trace Guidelines. Fire not recommended, especially above the tide line. All except west end of the Wallace Island is part of Julia Butler Hansen Refuge for the Columbian White-tailed Deer. Access is limited to sandy beaches on western portion of the island. Safety Notes: Close proximity to shipping lanes; be aware of navigational markers designating the channel
