Primitive low impact camping behind sand dune.
No facilities or water. Primitive Leave No Trace Camping on small field protected by sand dunes from dredge spoils. Only camping avaible on Wallace Island. Moderate Tidal Influence (6ft or less).
Environmental Notes:
Follow Leave No Trace Guidelines. Fire not recommended, especially above the tide line. All except west end of the Wallace Island is part of Julia Butler Hansen Refuge for the Columbian White-tailed Deer. Access is limited to sandy beaches on western portion of the island.
Safety Notes:
Close proximity to shipping lanes; be aware of navigational markers designating the channel. Strong winds can develop during peak summer months, and seasonal strong currents (more than normal) close to various launches. Be aware of current influence and the various wingdams (pilings in a row) in this stretch

Beach Landing and steeper sandy incline to camping location. Not accessible for users of wheelchairs.
