To carry out our scientific mission, the Estuary Partnership and its partners continually work to identify, assess, and respond to trends in the lower Columbia River and estuary. In addition to our on-the-ground Ecosystem Monitoring and Restoration Effectiveness Monitoring work, which helps inform these efforts, we also carry out a variety of additional research projects to fill other needed knowledge gaps. In 2007, the Estuary Partnership initiated the Lower Columbia Science to Policy Summit series to expand the dialog among scientists, natural resource professionals and community leaders within the region.
