This popular paddling destination offers access to a range of on-the-water experiences. The fully developed park features camping and a variety of visitor amenities. Nearby, the historic site of Wahkiakum, an Indigenous village dating back over 2,300 years, adds cultural significance. The area also holds importance as a Lewis and Clark site, with interpretive signage highlighting their journey, as well as information about the surrounding wildlife refuge.

This scenic park is perfect for relaxing, strolling along the beach, and taking in the beautiful views of the Columbia River. On warm days, enjoy swimming, playing volleyball, picnicking, or simply splashing in the water. It's also a popular spot for windsurfing, boating, and fishing. Convenient amenities include restrooms, parking, and drinking water. The park is open daily from 5:00 a.m. until dusk.

Located at mile 14 of the Columbia River, just west of the Astoria-Megler Bridge, the West Basin offers moorage for recreational boats and is home to fishing, guide, and commercial vessels. Lodging, dining, and shopping are all close by. Multi-day parking is allowed and is $10/day for up to seven days.

A multi-use site with a boat ramp, RV parking, boat moorage, a small general store, picnic tables, and gas and diesel available. Located one mile south the of mothballed Trojan Nuclear Power Plant. Parking and boat launch have a fee of $3.00. However if your are parking and launching during the same period the fee will be $5.00 to park and launch.

Small public boat ramp located at River Mile 18.2 on the Multnomah Channel, directly adjacent to the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife's Sauvie Island Wildlife Refuge and across the channel from the Burlington Bottoms wetland. The ramp is located at the site of an old ferry line that connected Sauvie Island to the mainland.

Rooster Rock State Park features a large beach, boat ramp, and basin on the Columbia River; nature trails and exhibits; clothing optional beach; and the opportunity for group picnic reservations. The boat launch is on a small inlet, a short paddle away from the Columbia mainstem.
