Abstract The Asian clam, Corbicula fluminea, was introduced into North America in the 1920s—first observed in the Columbia River—and has expanded its range across the continent and into South America and Europe, yet little is known about its ecology and potential to impact food webs. St. Helens Marina Boat Ramp

A small two lane, privately owned boat ramp at the downstream end of St. Helens. There is room for quick loading and unloading and longer term parking across the street. Like most boat ramps, the site is busy during fishing season. Entry and exit to the Columbia River is through a tight, small channel so be careful and aware of motorized boat traffic.
