Felida is a private moorage on Lake River near the head of the river (the confluence of Vancouver Lake and Lake River). The moorage has a small, paved boat ramp available for public use for a small parking and launch fee. The moorage includes a houseboat community just downstream of the boat ramp. The parking is gravel and a bit rough - but there are generall plenty of spaces (about 30 are available). The site can be hard to find for first timers - so have the right address and mapping application. Lake River is tidally influenced - so water levels can vary at the ramp. Photos below are from

Austin Point is an undeveloped, publicly accessible beach area located on the Washington bank of the lower Columbia. The site is owned by the Port of Woodland who allows the public to access the beach area for free. Though there is not a formal boat ramp, the site is regularly used to launch motorized boats from the beach, particularly during fishing season. The ability to drive on the beach makes it a short walk from your car to the water. The site has excellent views of St. Helens, which is located right across the river. Boat launch and marina at Beacon Rock. Beacon Rock State Park is a 4,650-acre year-round camping park with historic significance dating back hundreds of years. The park includes 9,500 feet of freshwater shoreline on the Columbia River. Located in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, Beacon Rock is the core of an ancient volcano. The mile-long trail to its summit provides outstanding panoramic views of the Columbia River Gorge. The park has over 20 miles of roads and trails open to hiking, mountain biking and equestrian use.

Regional park with facilities, interpretive signage, and a sandy beach. Popular summer spot for swimming, wading, and picnicking. Access to the river requires a long (1/4 mile at least) walk. Lewis and Clark established a camp here on 31 March 1806 and remained 6 days as they secured provisions for their return trip.

The Abernathy Creek Unit is situated along Abernathy Creek, close to the Columbia River and about 20 miles west of Longview in Cowlitz County. It is accessible via Abernathy Creek Road, which branches off State Route 4. This area is managed to protect both riparian and upland forest habitats. Please note that access to the site is limited to walk-in only.

This is a day-use only area with a small parking lot within the park and limited additional parking available across the street. Restrooms are seasonal and closed during the winter months. The site tends to be busy during peak salmon seasons. Launching and landing can be challenging at low tide due to the presence of extensive sand and mud flats.

Coal Creek Boat Launch is situated just off SR 4 in west Longview. This launch features a small ramp but no dock, making it ideal for kayaks and small boats. It offers access to Coal Creek Slough and a network of backwater sloughs within the Willow Grove Wetland. This 5.5-acre day-use and overnight park on the Columbia River features a restroom building, ample parking, electrical hookups, picnic areas, a fishing platform, trails, and open space. The park also includes an 18-unit campground, perfect for fishing enthusiasts. Additionally, there are three tent camping sites located along the Columbia River.
