The Elochoman Slough Marina is a focus of Wahkiakum County recreational and economic activity. Boaters from Portland and Vancouver, as well as Ilwaco and Astoria, flock to the Elochoman Slough Marina because of its location, its historical river town amenities, and the pristine rural character of the surrounding land. Both commercial and recreational fishermen also frequent the Elochoman Slough Marina, especially during salmon fishing windows in the spring and the fall. The marina also offers cabins, yurts, recreational vehicle hook-ups and dry land camping. The site is very paddler friendly

The Skamokawa Resort is the heart of Skamokawa. The resort includes a general store and vaction rentals. The Resort caters to non-motorized boaters and has a great low to the water dock for launching (free for Resort guests) and $5.00 for the general public. Lodging at the Resort includes eight hotel rooms and three luxury suites. The historic Redmen Interpretive Center just up the hill from the Skamokawa Resort. The Redmen Interpretive Center displays, exhibtis, and interprets a great deal of the area's history. Two restuarant/bars amd a post office are within easy walking distance.

Netul Landing is a unit of Lewis and Clark National Historical Park. The improved parking area and gravel, non-motorized boat ramp provide access to the Lewis and Clark River, approximately 5 miles from the mainstem of the Columbia River. Netul Landing is 1.5 river miles upstream from Fort Clatsop , making it the closest launch point to the Fort.

Cape Disappointment State Park (formerly Fort Canby State Park) is a 1,882-acre camping park on the Long Beach Peninsula, fronted by the Pacific Ocean. The park offers 27 miles of ocean beach, two lighthouses, an interpretive center and hiking trails. Visitors enjoy beachcombing and exploring the area's rich natural and cultural history. The nearby coastal towns of Ilwaco and Long Beach feature special events and festivals spring through fall. The site includes a vareity of historical information.
