Location: Hybrid remote and in person Portland, Oregon. Regular travel and on-location field work required for this position.

Position Information 
The Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership seeks a Research Scientist to support the Estuary Partnership’s ecosystem monitoring and habitat restoration action effectiveness monitoring programs. The position supports these programs by collecting field data, providing data quality assurance, management, analyses and reporting as well as assisting with managing subcontractors and ensuring environmental compliance. This position offers a great opportunity to gain professional field and lab experience to those pursuing a career in natural resource conservation or related field. This position is based out of our Portland, Oregon office. The work will regularly take place in a field setting that requires regular travel throughout the Estuary Partnership study area between Bonneville Dam and the Pacific Ocean along both sides of the Columbia River. Fieldwork occurs in wetlands or on the river, in various weather conditions, and includes navigating difficult terrain on foot and carrying field gear to monitoring sites.
