On May 30, the Metro Council officially approved a new round of Nature in Neighborhood grants and once again, they approved funding for the collaborative Estuary Partnership-Wilderness International project at Meldrum Bar Park in Gladstone, Oregon. The "Meldrum Bar Park Habitat, Education and Job Training Project" brings together local citizens to restore natural areas at the park. Right before the formal approval, staff from the Estuary Partnership and Wilderness International gave a short presentation of the project to the Council. We were honored to be the representative project selected to give a presentation and to have the project profiled in a Metro News story. Check out the Metro News Story which does a great job of describing the project. Thanks Metro!
