April is Earth Month and the 51st anniversary of Earth Day! For more than 50 years, the world has recognized Earth Day as a day of action. This year the Estuary Partnership is teaming up with nonprofits across the state for the Earth Day Oregon* campaign. And together we are working to Amplify Earth Day!
As a nonprofit that supports several of the UN's 17 sustainable development goals, we are simultaneously addressing Quality Education, Climate Action, Life Below Water, Life On Land, and other SDGs to create a more sustainable planet. You can help!
Our goal is to raise $3,000 this Earth Month from people like you to support our community programs. These programs bring hands-on watershed science education to students—plus science kits and place-based online lessons during COVID's remote learning—volunteer opportunities to improve habitat along local streams, and time paddling our Big Canoe for folks who've never been on the water before. We know that quality outdoor education and exciting hands-on experiences with science are a critical way to support the health of the community and the health of the Columbia River.
