This is a large, new, two-land boat launch located at the west end of Rainier and immediately adjacent to the Rainier City Park. The launch can be exceptionally busy during certain fishing seasons. Though this site was primarily developed for motorized boats, there is typically an easily accessible sandy beach just downstream of the boat ramp which provides an easy sandy water access opportunity. Launching from the sand upstream of the boat launch can be dangerous due to very swift currents that can sweep boaters into the large breakwater protecting the boat ramp docks.
The City Park upstream of the boat ramp is large and includes a variety of playground and other park amenities.
