Bird Beak Adaptations Kit

The Bird Beak Buffet Kit includes materials needed for the bird beak adaptations activity. In this activity students test the effectiveness of different tools (representing styles of bird beaks) on different objects (representing varieties of food) to explore the relationship between form and function. This activity is a great introduction to adaptations. The kit includes "beaks" (tweezers, clips, straws, etc.), "bird food" (washers, marbles, plastic ants, etc.) and a PowerPoint with short video clips that illustrate different kinds of bird beaks in use (on USB Drive). 

CHECK OUT: Kits may be checked out for two weeks and are available at our Portland office. In some cases and with advance notice we may be able to arrange a delivery or pick-up.
