Comments:
Loaves and Fishes has integrated a series of flow through planter boxes on two sides of their new building. The flow through planter boxes receive stormwater runoff from the building’s roof through a series of disconnected downspouts. Water is temporarily stored above the soil then slowly filters down through the planter box. Water that isn’t absorbed by the soil or plants is collected in a perforated pipe at the bottom of the planter and routed to a disposal or conveyance system.
